Restore apps not downloading






















I said yes, assuming that's what I was supposed to do. In the midst of that process, iTunes said: Are you sure you want to install this new iOS in the middle of a synch? So then I thought I wasn't supposed to and stopped the install. I finished synching except not really as explained and did the new iOS install later. What is the best way to restore to factory state?

I clicked Restore iPad on the Summary screen but eventually got the message that I had purchases that had not been transferred to iTunes this could be because I have another iPad and that if I restore to factory state, I would have to repurchase them. I thought you were coming from iCloud. That be ing said, so long as the backup is living on a Computer you shouldn't have to repurchase apps. You can transfer the purchases into iTunes before you restor the iPad. While the iPad is connected to iTunes, right click on the iPad name on the left side under the devices heading and select - Transfer Purchases.

As long as you purchased all of your apps with the same Apple ID, it doesn't matter if you have different apps on 4 different iPads, you can always download the apps again without paying again.

I then stopped all of the apps trying to download, making all of them have the cloud icon next to them before signing out. Waited for a brief moment before signing back in. I then went down the list of apps one by one redownloading and they all came back pretty quickly.

Hopefully this helps. Jan 7, PM. After waiting for a couple hours for my Apps to restore, this is what I found with my 8 Plus. Instantly the App became available. It seems most of the Apps had been downloaded, but each one still said waiting. The ones that hadn't downloaded, were deleted by this method, but were easily retrieved afterwards, by re-downloading them from the cloud.
